Moonvale Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Who we are

Moonvale is made by Ctrl Alt Go Ltd. This policy explains what happens to information when you play.

The short version

Moonvale does not collect your personal information. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party advertising or measurement services in the app. We don’t build a profile of you, and we have nothing about you to sell — and we never would.

What stays on your device

Everything you do in the game — your valley, your companion and its name, your inventory, outfits, friendships and settings — is saved in a file on your device, inside the app’s own storage. We can’t see it, and it isn’t sent anywhere.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple tells the app whether a purchase is active; we never see your name, payment card or billing address. Apple’s own privacy policy governs that transaction.

Game Center

If you’re signed in to Game Center, Apple’s GameKit reports your achievements to Apple so they show in your Game Center profile. That relationship is between you and Apple. The app uses your Game Center sign-in only to record achievements; we don’t store your Game Center identifier on our own servers, because we don’t run any.

Our other apps

If you open the screen listing our other apps, the app asks Apple’s public App Store lookup service for the current list of our apps and their icons. That request goes to Apple, includes only your storefront country and language, and contains nothing identifying you. Links out to the App Store include a campaign tag so we can see, in Apple’s own aggregate reports, how many people arrived that way — those reports are anonymous counts, never individual people.

Downloadable content

Some extra content, such as additional tarot decks, is hosted by Apple and downloaded through Apple’s own delivery service. Those downloads go to Apple, not to us.

Permissions

Moonvale doesn’t ask for your location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts or notifications, and doesn’t ask to track you across other apps.

Children

Moonvale is suitable for a general audience and doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children. There’s no chat, no user-generated content and no way for players to contact each other in the game.

Keeping and deleting data

Because your game data never leaves your device, you control it completely. Starting a new valley replaces your current progress, and deleting the app removes your saved game and settings from the device. There’s nothing held on our side to delete.

International transfers

We don’t receive or store your data, so we don’t transfer it anywhere. Where Apple processes information for purchases, Game Center or downloads, Apple’s own policies and safeguards apply.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California give you rights to see, correct, delete or take away a copy of your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Since Moonvale holds no personal information about you, there’s nothing for us to hand over or erase — but if you believe we hold something about you, get in touch and we’ll answer.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts doing something new with data, we’ll update this policy and change the date at the top.
