What is Moonvale?
Moonvale is a cozy witch life sim. You tend a valley, grow and gather herbs, craft, fish, decorate a cottage, befriend the neighbours, and raise a companion who follows you around. There’s no combat and no failure state — play at whatever pace suits you.
What do I need to play?
An iPhone or iPad running iOS 27 or later.
Is Moonvale free?
Yes. The valley, the story, the neighbours and your starter companion are all free. Optional purchases unlock extra cosmetic items and companions — outfits, hats, colour palettes and similar. Nothing you buy affects the story or makes the game easier.
What’s Moon Club?
Moon Club is the optional membership. It unlocks every cosmetic item, including any added later. You can join weekly, with a free trial at the start, or buy lifetime access once. Current prices are always shown in the app, in your own currency.
Can I buy just one thing?
Yes. Each cosmetic pack can be bought on its own, and the price is shown right on the item. Moon Club includes them all.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your device open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Moonvale and cancel there. Your membership keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
How do I restore purchases on a new device?
Open the Moon Club screen in the app and tap Restore Purchases, while signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so there’s nothing to type in.
Where is my progress saved?
On your device. Moonvale writes a save file in the app’s own storage, keeps a backup copy, and repairs the save if anything is missing or damaged.
Does my progress sync between devices?
No. Progress lives on the device you played on. If you delete the app, the save goes with it.
How do I start over?
There’s a “start a new valley” option in the in-game settings. Your previous valley is set aside rather than thrown away immediately, so an accidental tap isn’t the end of the world.
What are the achievements?
Moonvale has Game Center achievements for milestones like your first crafted item, restoring the valley’s lantern and befriending your neighbours. They appear in the Game Center dashboard if you’re signed in. If you’re not signed in, nothing breaks — you simply won’t earn them.
Can I rename my companion?
Yes. Your first companion is a cat named Snaps by default, and you can name them whatever you like when you start, or pick from the suggested names.
Does Moonvale work with a controller?
Yes, Moonvale supports MFi and other game controllers that iOS recognises, including rumble on controllers that have it.
Is Moonvale accessible?
Moonvale supports VoiceOver and Voice Control, and never uses colour as the only way to show something — icons, outlines and labels carry the same information. There’s also a “Reduce camera & character motion” setting in the game’s own settings if the camera movement bothers you. We’re continuing to improve accessibility, including larger text and a dark appearance.

No. No ads, no tracking, and nothing collected about you. See the privacy policy for details.
Does Moonvale need an internet connection?
No. The game plays entirely offline. A connection is only used for purchases and Game Center, and for showing our other apps if you open that screen.
