What is Aura Retouch?

Aura Retouch is an iPhone photo editor for light, natural retouch. Open a photo, adjust it on your terms, and keep looking like you.

You can:

  • Smooth skin and refine face details
  • Reshape cheeks, jaw, chin, eyes, nose, and lips
  • Heal blemishes
  • Adjust light and color
  • Blur the background

Edits run on your iPhone. The app writes a new copy when you save. Your original photo stays unchanged.

Does Aura Retouch send my photos to a server?

No. Retouch, reshape, heal, light, and background blur run on this device. Photos are not uploaded for editing.

Is my original photo changed?

No. Aura Retouch never overwrites the photo you opened.

Save writes a new image to Photos. Share exports a copy you can send or save to Files. Closing an editing session without saving leaves the original as it was.

How do I restore a purchase?

  1. Open Aura Retouch.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Restore Purchases.

You can also tap Restore on the Pro paywall.

Use the same Apple ID you used to buy. Restore brings back an active weekly subscription or a lifetime purchase on this Apple ID.

How do I cancel the weekly subscription?

Cancel in Apple’s subscription settings, not inside Aura Retouch.

On iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Aura Retouch (or Aura Retouch Pro), then cancel.

If you cancel, Pro stays available until the end of the current week. After that, you can still edit; save and share require Pro again unless you buy lifetime or resubscribe.

What do the tools do?

Beautify (Smooth)
Soften skin texture while keeping facial edges. Also includes eye whites, eye detail, teeth, under-eyes, redness, shine, glow, lip color, blush, face light, and skin tone / warmth / tint. Optional presets: Natural, Fresh, Studio, Glam.

Reshape
Adjust cheeks, jaw, chin, eyes, nose, and lips. Zero on the slider is the original shape.

Heal
Tap clean nearby skin as the source, then tap a blemish to blend that texture in. Undo removes the last heal. The original photo is unchanged.

Light (Adjust)
Exposure, brightness, contrast, highlights, shadows, saturation, vibrance, warmth, tint, sharpness, definition, noise reduction, and vignette.

Blur (Background)
Blur the area behind the subject. Strength is a slider; reset returns to a sharp background.

Face tools need a clear, mostly front-facing face. If detection misses a face, use Try Face Detection Again.

Why does Aura Retouch ask for Photos access?

The app uses Apple’s photo picker to choose an image. It does not need full Photo Library access to open a picture.

When you save an edited copy, iOS asks for permission to add photos. That permission is add-only: the app can write a new copy; it cannot browse or change your library.

System prompt: “Save an edited copy of your photo. Your original stays unchanged.”

If you deny add access, you can still edit and use Share / Save to Files (with Pro). To allow saving later: Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Aura Retouch.
